Yes, I'm Going to be Pushy About Travel Insurance. Love, Your Travel Planner

Travel insurance, what?

You’re definitely going on your trip, though, right, so it’s fine, and COVID restrictions aren’t really a thing anymore so you should be set, and anyway airlines have gotten way more flexible about changing tickets sooo…..

Get this into your brain NOW and don’t let it out - I am going to insist that you book travel insurance when you work with me.

And if you STILL decide you don’t want it, I’m going to have you sign a document acknowledging that I offered it and you’ve declined.

WHAT is the big deal?

Travel insurance is extremely necessary.

I used to tell people that asked me if they should get travel insurance that it was up to them.  That, if it made them feel better and gave them peace of mind, then it was definitely worth investing in travel insurance! And if not, then okay, no worries.

Those days are gone.

If you work with me on your trip, I’m going to insist you purchase travel insurance.

If you’re STILL thinking “I don’t know, I don’t really think it’s that important” - here’s why I insist.

I’ve had a wedding couple CANCEL their elopement the week before the wedding date, and their guests had declined travel insurance.  Guess who was out several thousand dollars for flights, hotels, etc. that they couldn’t get back.

I’ve had a client TRIP AND BREAK THEIR LEG while in Europe - thankfully they had an insurance policy in place that covered their medical evacuation costs, treatment, and the extra days their travel partner had to stay in the city with them.  It even covered the cost of having to cancel and rebook their flights home!

The long and short of it is, I care about your trip.  I care about my OTHER travelers’ trips.  And if we can make it as easy and quick as possible for you to receive the fix for your travel plans if something goes wrong, that’s more time I can spend making ALL of my clients’ travel dreams come true.

Check out a few different policies if you don’t like the ones I send to you.

Pro-tip - your credit card might have coverage options!  You can find nice benefits like flight delay coverage, baggage loss coverage, and an option to cancel your trip if something comes up at work.

And YES, I do book travel insurance for my own trips!
