3 Things I NEVER Fly Without That You Should Pack Too

I’m all about making travel days EASY, especially for my travel clients!

These three things are ALWAYS a good idea to pack, no matter where you’re flying.

  1. A reusable water bottle, like this one

Empty yours out at home, or worst case, in the bathroom before the security checkpoint. An empty water bottle will pass security with no problems.

Then, you can easily refill it inside the terminal. You won’t have to pay exorbitant airport prices, and you are saving the planet one less single use plastic water bottle.

BONUS: This is an amazing thing to carry at all inclusive resorts, where you can keep having your own bottle refilled and not having to worry about mixing up glasses. It’s also an extremely handy item to have in cities like Rome, where free water fountains are abundant and the water quality is top notch.

2. Noise cancelling headphones - these are what I use

ESPECIALLY if you are flying east (for example, from the U.S. to Europe), noise cancelling headphones can be the difference between sleeping on the flight and waking up rested and ready to explore and having terrible jet lag that eats up two or three days of your trip.

3. Paper copies of my important information

I know this is old school and maybe defeats the plastic water bottle I saved with my reusable water bottle, but hear me out.

We all have our information on our laptops and phones, but I get anxious at the thought of my phone being DEAD or not getting SIGNAL or, for some other reason, NOT ALLOWING ME to access the information I need.

This one is a comfort level item for sure, but personally I would much rather carry a piece of paper or two with me and not need it than be stuck somewhere because my phone isn’t working.

Also… this has happened to me before, it was terrible, and I never want to have to deal with stress like that again.

What are YOUR must pack items? I’m always open to good ideas to up my packing game!
